The BLEND design embodies a deep understanding of how wood affects sound, much like a chef carefully selecting ingredients to create a perfectly balanced dish.
North American maple was just the beginning of my research, with its higher glucose content, naturally softens overtones, creating a sweeter, warmer tone. This glucose alters the wood’s vibration properties, similar to how tannins influence the flavor and color of wine, shaped by the terroir. By combining different woods with unique cellular structures, Blend drums create tonal harmony, offering musicians a sensory experience where sound, texture, and subconscious perception unite—this is a symphonic craft for the human experience.

Inspired by my experience as a chocolate-making hobbyist, this drum design blends woods with a story as rich and complex as the finest chocolate.
North American Maple, soft and sweet like cocoa butter, delivers the first clear, enveloping note. Mahogany, balanced like Criollo cocoa, mediates between Maple and Wenge, an exotic and tannic wood like Forastero cocoa, bitter, dark, and powerful.
Together, these woods create a symbiotic relationship, bringing to life a unique and balanced sound.
